Florida's Southwest Paradise
Cape Coral

Cape Coral is a part of Lee county and is located some 35 miles above the city of Naples and
about 120 miles below the city of Tampa here on the southwest coast. Our city was started
some 45 years ago by two entreprenauers, the Rosen brothers. They purchased the 115 square
miles of property, platted the area and installed some 400 miles of great canals. It has now
grown to a city of over 160,000 residents. It is one of the fastest growing parts of Florida
and is the 3rd largest city. We are right on the Caloosahatchee River looking over at the
city of Fort Myers. We have quick access to Ft. Myers beach.
The city is home to many great restaurants and many new shopping malls and stores. These are
all within easy access using public and private transportation facilities.
Cape Coral is one of three cities in Florida that does not have public services taxes. This
benefit results in considerable savings for all our residents. The public service tax
charged by other cities can range up to 10 percent.
A short distance north lies
Burntstore Marina, the largest marina complex here on the southwest coast, housing fine
homes and condominiums, golf courses and restaurants with more to come.
